Welcome to Academy of Investigation & Security. We offer a wide range of comprehensive training and certification programs (Florida security licenses) and services for public safety professionals, private citizens, businesses, law enforcement, etc.

Academy of Investigation & Security has set the standard for realistic use of force and firearms training.

Our training teaches safety, effective and true-to-life training for security and public safety personnel, agencies and businesses throughout Florida.

We have three different types of Training for your specific professional needs:

What We Offer

We at the Academy of Investigation & Security are proud to serve you in your security licensing and training needs. We first started the company in 2007 and have continued to grow to include more services to offer to you.

We have everything you need right here in Tampa, FL. Not only are we a fully licensed academy but we also have our in-house Stop Shop.

When you come to the Academy of Investigation & Security you receive the best! The best services, since we are sure to follow State regulations, and the best equipment all in one location.

Our instructors are also top of the line. You will gain a knowledge base from people who have actual field experience. Our instructors include Active federal agents, retired police officer, and a HCSO retired deputy with 27 years of experience.

If great instructors in a central location isn’t enough, then come see our state of the art facilities. We have multiple classrooms to help facilitate in the many different training courses we offer. The class sizes are small. This enables our security, tactical, or emergency training instructors to give special attention when it is most needed.  This includes our Private Investigator instructor. The parking is also easily accessible, so you don’t have to struggle when you get here. Our affiliation with local fun ranges helps keep the pricing low for our armed security officer training (Class G security license).

How to Register:

1. Decide on the course you want or need. We have many article or links online to help you decide which courses to go with. Be sure to check out our packages for some great deals.

2. Make sure you meet all the requirements if there are any for that course

3. Find out what time you can attend. Click the calendar below for list of available courses.

4. If you are registering for a security training course you can pay online. Click Pay Online and click the course you want.

5. Follow the page instructions for using your credit card to pay and keep the confirmation number.

The following is a list of the classes we, the Academy of Investigation and Security, offer. Availability and course schedules are open to change. You can view currently scheduled courses via our calendar, or choose from the list below to read about a course. You can also request information by filling out the form to the right.

Registrations for Security Training courses are available to pay online, select Pay Online and select the button that corresponds to that course. Registrations only are valid after making the payment and receiving a confirmation receipt.
